This logo was used in my poster but not in my actual film as I wanted a more basic design used in my film - I took that idea from the opening of American Hardcore: The History of American Punk Rock 1979-1984.
POSTER
REVIEW PAGE
I initially drew out my review page using inspiration from different review pages I'd deconstructed and otherwise seen. I wanted a simplistic design featuring six columns of text and one photograph of the band sitting together on a bench.

As I was constructing the actual image though, I decided to use another photo as the main photo because I thought it would look more stylistic, and use the image I'd had in mind earlier as a secondary image. This is what it looks like in Adobe InDesign -
First draft
I have used three colours - blue, red, black (and white to an extent, as it is the background and used in the caption). Hassan is wearing a burgandy hoodie in the picture which shows integration with colours and images on the page, which is easy on the eyes. At this point, I am uncertain about the use of the colour blue and the use of the secondary picture. The second picture is arguably unnecessary because it's quite similar to the first.
This is the feedback I recieved for my first draft review page -
"I like both of the pictures."
"The larger one shows the emotion in the band."
"The primary picture is definitely better at conveying the band, however I like them both."I tried several other pictures as the secondary picture, including a live shot taken during the bands first gig which is featured in the film itself. This is the second draft of the review page -
Second draft
I think the first draft and its use of similar pictures works best in this instance, as the colour schemes of the photos themselves clash completely.
Due to negative feedback from my target audience, I have decided to use the first draft and continue developing that idea.
